They are potential building blocks, which can be used as \u201cartificial atoms\u201d in assembled cluster materials for advanced materials applications. Potential uses for such materials include chemical sensors, solar cells, flat-panel displays, quantum computers, energetic materials, cluster-based spintronic devices, cooperatively coupled bimetallic catalysts, and electronic devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-ast-global-color-8-color has-text-color\">Cluster science serves endless possibilities for the one who is eager to explore both the basic science behind and potential applications.
